Special prayers will be made on that day for the seminaries. Orthodox church in India have two seminaries one at Kottayam-'Orthodox Theological Seminary' or the 'Old Seminary' and St. Thomas Orthodox Seminary, Nagpur. H. H. Baselios Marthoma Didymus I through his kalpana no. 204/2007 dated 22 Aug 2007 told that every member should pray for the seminaries and participate in the seminary day collection whole heartedly. The seminary day collection constitutes the major portion of the income of the seminaries.
